Delurking after being off-list because of frequent travel-- I am constantly stopped on the street by people who want to know what Bella and Darcy are and what they're like, or by people who know what they are and are desperately searching for a breeder. I give them what information I can in a 2- to 5-minute conversation, but I am seriously considering going to Kinko's and having business cards made up that would have the breed name, the akc web site, some Cavalier web sites, and maybe the no puppy mills web site (and maybe the name of my book on how to choose and purchase a dog).
What do you all think? Is there other information you would put on such a card? Do you think it would help at all? As the former editor of Dog Fancy and a freelancer who specializes in writing about pets, I have been frustrated by this problem for many years and have yet to come up with or come across a good solution. Maybe there is none.
