I'm sorry Julie but what's wrong with selling a show potential puppy with strings
attached?  Like you said further in your post, the average litter is only 4 and with
everything that can go wrong I would never let a puppy of that caliber go without
strings attached.  If it isn't to my advantage why would I let it go?
What's wrong with a co-ownership until the puppy has finished its CH and health
clearances?  What's wrong with the breeder wanting to have a say in who she gets bred
to for her first litter and taking a puppy back?  I sell show potential puppies at pet
prices because I know what all can go wrong but if everything works out then I want
final payment at that time and I will sign off when those conditions have been
fulfilled.
