Rosemary, I realize that most people do not have a clear understanding of what all the testing terminology means but know what "vet-checked, shots, wormed" means. My point is that by stating it in an ad, you are upfront about what you *do*, and gamble that people will be curious enough to call anyway. After all, a breeder using all those fancy terms must have "important", special puppies. :)
Laura Warner Bradford, PA >>A newspaper ad does not demean a breeder in my eyes. It's what's behind the ad >>that does. When you see the standard ad that reads, "Adorable Cavalier King >>Charles Spaniel puppies; vet-checked, shots, wormed"... > >A reputable breeder can get her point across by explicitly stating the >important points of her breeding stock such as, "OFA certified, CERF'd, >patellas, heart-cleared." ... >Laura Warner >Bradford, PA > ============================== >Well, "vet-checked, shots, wormed" will actually have some reassuring >meaning to an uneducated buyer, it speaks of things they understand and can >relate to; whereas sadly "OFA certified, CERF'd, patellas, >heart-cleared" is completely meaningless jargon to the uninitiated, and >therein lies your problem... you are just preaching to the converted. > >Rosemary ____________________________________________________________ woof! woof!
