That would all depend on the stud dog. Some dogs will breed as long as the bitch lets them (and some will let them breed for more than a week!) and others only once. I have one stud dog that will breed anything anytime. I do progesterone testing and breed on days 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 after the bitch hits 5 nanograms. Another stud dog I let breed the bitch when he wants to. He has never missed yet and rarely breeds a bitch more than 2 or 3 times. His timing is perfect and I trust him completely.
