Maureen, many Cavaliers including my Rufus, have small  whitish opaque
spots on their eyes which are  "fatty" deposits and are quite harmless.
Scary (and a bit unsightly)  but harmless, and they don't affect their
vision; and they sometimes disappear of their own accord. Go back to the
vet, or phone them, to confirm this. If you are NOT happy, then for your
peace of mind you should get a secind opinion.
