However one wants to handle the health of their dogs is totally up to them. Diagnosis by consensus from people who have never seen the dog, no matter how knowledgeable they are, does not appeal to me. I would not expect my veterinarian to diagnose a problem over the telephone without seeing the dog, nor would he. However, my point was that I said nothing that should have elicited that sort of response. I, as everyone else who responded, did so in good faith with their best advice.
