I had contacted a breeder about his stud dog and I could pay one price and keep all puppies or pay a slightly lower price and give up one puppy. This was a club member and in good standing. Don't ask because I won't tell. This was several years ago. Of course I did not use the dog.
Also I just had a family that wanted a puppy from me. They talked about how they could get one for about 1000, and they wondered why they should pay my price. After much talk, I realized they just didn't get it. However it was a wonderful home. So finally I lowered my price and they raised the amount they were willing to pay. Now my boy is in a wonderful home and I hope they are being educated. I am certainly trying to educate them.
