hi pam,
the fact that the dogs dont go anywhere but your backyard is reason enough to
give rabies.  everyone gets some wildlife in their yards and rabies is
transmitted by saliva or urine so the dogs dont necessarily have to come in
direct contact with the animal itself to get it.  going to shows is not a
concern except where they state in the premium list that you must have a
rabies certificate with you.
claudia - who is rethinking doing distemper again because of an outbreak with
infected raccoons this year.
