I can't give you the answer, but there is a UK antiques website that has a nice and regularly changing selection (some of which also get auctioned on ebay); this will link you to their current staffordshire list (not just the spaniels!) <http://www.madelenaantiques.com/staffsallDateFrameSet.html>. They might also be able to give you some hints and tips on how to recognise the real thing, they are a bunch of very pleasant people....
