Maureen, Have you heard of Canidae? This is a human grade holistic food --- that many Cavalier people have been having tremendous success feeding. I personally have been using Canidae for three years now, along with raw, and even my girl with allergies is doing beautifully. Also, Canidae is fairly easy to find --- if you are at all interested you can read about this food on their web site at: http://www.canidae.com I have another friend whose Cavalier bitch (pet) had such severe allergies that she was on weekly shots and the vet bills for this girl were enormous. Once my friend switched her girl over to Canidae her symptoms began to lesson in their severity within a few weeks. Long story made short, her girl is doing extremely well with the Canidae. the best part is that she is no longer recieving shots and does not require oral atraxx for itching. Incidentally,my friend does not feed partially raw as I do.
