This will depend on the piebald gene and its modifiers carried by any
particular dog. I have done tri to tri and sometimes got very heavy
markings, sometimes well marked.

I find this hard to believe!!!! The tan point pattern is a separate
gene...... if the above statement were true, then all B&T and tricolour
breeds such as Gordon Setters, Dobermans, Bernese Mtn Dogs etc would not
have any tan!
