Jeannie I was quoting what I was told years ago by one of the old time breeders who bred Tris - that repeated Tri to Tri the bright tan faded to a more "fawn " colour. Interestingly enough in this last litter of mine whose parents have good rich tan there is various shades of tan - one of them is definitely pale - it will be interesting to see what happens with it - you might know it is the one I would like to run on!
