I think that this is good advice.  I once did a back to back breeding on a
bitch that had 5 puppies in the first litter.  The puppies in the second
litter were significantly smaller and mom seemed much more stressed.  I
would not do a back to back again unless the first litter was a very small
litter and the mom looked to in very good condition.  If that were the
case, then I would contemplate doing a back to back breeding.  I know as a
human having 2 babies within 14mos of each other took alot of toll on my
body.<grin>
