One of them has the "wash and wear coat" fur that is correct for the Cavalier. I have some of these also, but of course in the wholecolors, it's not a problem. TeHe! When I had Great Pyrenees, we used boxes of cornstarch to clean up their feet and sometimes , as in the case of a puppy I had, the whole dog. It's an excellent cleaner, but all of the residue is brushed out of the hair before the dog enters the ring..at least that's the rule at AKC shows. Years ago, the powdering thing got a bit much...I remember one judge giving a Pyr exhibit a pat on the rump as it gaited away from him and a cloud of white powder puffed in the air! The dog was excused from the ring. NOT disqualified from competition, but excused from competition on the day. It was a VERY quick lesson to the exhibitors all around to pay attention to the rules.
