My boys are fine with the belly bands and revert back to marking as soon as they are off also. Well, actually one is not so great even with the belly band but at least it keeps it off the furniture! I have to laugh when I go to the store for heavy duty overnight pads by the case. Our trash men must think I have a real problem when those boxes get dumped.
Personally, I think that the belly band IS the best thing since sliced bread.
