I also have found that if I wait until the last minute before opening the door I am safe. If I do it in their room and let them run to the door, there are leather chairs on the way that are their particular favorites. I agree about remembering to take them off. It is an odd sight my running after them in my "sleepware" to rip the belly bands off. Sometimes they run out so fast I don't have a second to grab them.
