I tried debark collars but they only work on dumb dogs, I think. Here are my
experiences with them.
1. I tried one on a dog who was a continuous barker. He quit barking when he
had the collar on but went back to his merry barking whenever the collar was
off. The collar was rather heave and it wore off all the hair on his neck
and caused an irritation besides.

2. I tried the collar on a dog of another breed who became hysterical when
her dinner was being prepared. When she barked the first time the collar was
on, she began screaming with fear and thrashed about making it very difficult
to get the collar off. The more she screamed the more she was zapped. Poor
thing...she never got the connection. I was afraid she would die before we
could get the thing off!

3. I tried the collar on another cavalier and he did stop, but kept getting
zapped because the collar was reacting to his buddies who were taking turns
barking.

I do not think that it is necessarily a humane thing to use a no-bark collar
especially if you have a number of dogs.
