Hi Rosanne, Has the Black and Tan been bred previously to a Tricolor or a Blenheim? If so, what was produced? If it was only wholecolors then the Black and Tan is dominant for wholecolor and does not carry the recessive for broken color.
I once bred a Ruby to a Tricolor in hopes of getting broken colors but I ended up with three Rubies.
