The more expensive ones are faster. It has to do with the amount of time it takes for the camera to record the image. I went from about a 7 second turn around with a Mavica to a 2 second or less with the Cybershot. Cameras with memory sticks are faster than ones that record on floppies. Also, the resolution (number of pixels) will make a difference in the speed of the camera. The lower I make the resolution, the faster the camera does it's stuff. I usually use the 640 x 480 resolution for dog jpeg photos and save the finer resolution (up to 2560x1920) for other things. Actually, I wouldn't buy a high resolution camera if all I wanted was dog photos to put on the web. The lower resolution photos load faster and look great. The higher resolution photos really need to be sliced for web photos (cut into a grid of small squares that load independently) and I haven't learned how to do that yet although I have the software for it (Macromedia Fireworks). All the best, Susan Cochran
