I had the Olympus Camedia and loved it, but it recently died and I had to
get a new one. Someone sold me the Fuji Fine Pix--yuk! The pictures were
absolutely awful--even with a tripod. I took it back. Before I went back I
did research and found the Olympus Camedia and Kodak 3500 were the best of
the cheap cameras. All the reviews said the Kodak 3500 had by far the best
picture quality of any camera under $500. I bought the 3500 and it is
true--the pictures are far superior to the Camedia. It is also MUCH easier
to use, erase pictures and download than the Camedia was. I am extremely
happy with it. It doesn't have the short video capability, so in some ways
the Camedia is a better camera, but I was more interested in picture quality
without expense. I got what I wanted--although sometimes I do wish I had
the video capability.
