I use an exercise pen with a top attached to keep my youngster out of trouble. He has a 200 VariKennel inside without the door and fresh water. Each morning when I leave for work he gets a peanut butter dog cookie and a different toy in his pen - when he sees me go to the cabinet and get the cookies, he races to his pen and waits for his cookie. He especially likes rope toys and a large kong. I hate to think what I would come home to if he was allowed to run loose all day. During the last couple of months he has decided his mission in life is to chew all the appendages off his furry toys. So far I have had to throw away 4 large furry toys. These were toys that had survived several years with my boxers. Is this a hormone thing?
