Pam, since I had always heard that the symptoms are very much like a stroke,
I would assume it could cause his back legs to collapse.  I have been
searching for the symptoms since you asked the question, though, and cannot
find the answer.  I have looked in several books that I have, "Small Animal
Cardiology Secrets," by Jonathan A. Abbott, DVM; and "The Merck Veterinary
Manual," as well as a couple of others.  I've also done a web search, and
while I can find information on this, I haven't been able to find the
symptoms!

I do hope your friend can get a definitive answer.
