Hi Janine,
I just read your post on heart testing. Even though we live near a university
with heart specialists we never go there. We do all the testing but what a
group of dog people have done is get a heart and eye clinic going at one of
the shows. While we are at a show the heart specialist is usually set up in a
separate room with sign up sheets. Come back with the dog at your assigned
time and get it done for $25. The heart vet travels to a site where they can
do hundreds of dogs in a day. The show host club usually feeds and entertains
and set up in a hotel the vets. It is a win win situation. These clinics are
held all over our country by all breed clubs and specialty clubs.
This is just a thought that maybe you might want to check into being involved
in an all breed club and suggesting a clinic at their next show.
Just a thought.
