Many years ago when we raised German Shepherds, we would have the occasional
dog whose ears didn't go up. We kept those dogs and obedience trained them
to offset their ear problem. It was really fun to have a prospective buyer
come to visit the puppy and be able to have it demonstrate it's obedience
training. It was also really fun to have dogs who could be taught the
basics in a couple of hours and who could be reliable on their sit stay
after just a few lessons. Oh my. Either I'm just getting older, or
cavalier are WAY different. I do find that it takes more repetitions. Myra
