All of my pet pups go on restricted regs also. However, the AKC requires that the registration papers MUST go with the pup. I, too, keep the papers for a two week period just in case the buyer finds a reason why they cannot keep the pup. They have two weeks in which to change their minds. This avoids having to get new papers from AKC.
