Must jump out lurk on this one. What about the very small number of us who for one reason or another, have dogs that are registered only with the CKCSC (sire dual registered/dam CKCSC only). No way will AKC reopen the stud book for them. At least this is what I have been told. Does that make me a fool??? I have broached this subject before, and it was suggested I should just buy dogs that are dual registered. At this point, I do not want to buy dogs that are dual registered...I would just like to be able to show mine AKC due to proximity of shows. I have cetain health issues that preclude extensive travel. I know, I know... If I wanted to show AKC, I should have made sure the dogs were dual registered. Hindsight is 20/20. But this is another side of the coin. Shouldn't the door open both ways?
