Sure, the door should open both ways. There are always going to be unethical breeders. They will be every where we look and in every breed of dog and every dog club. However, for the sake of those of us who want to show our dogs for pleasure, and pursue breeding our dogs with their best possible future in mind....the doors should all swing wide open on both sides and allow ethical breeders to breed for the benefit of the breed instead of for the benefit of a dog club. That would include you being able to register your dogs and enjoy showing them in the more geographically desirable AKC shows, and it would include all of us making breeding decisions based on the dogs involved rather than the pieces of papers that have their names on them.
