Tom, it is pretty simple. Compare the number of breeders to the number of
members in 1998. Lots more pet owners than breeders and even at that, the
breeders were not all for it.

What happened, happened. Some think that there was some undue influence.
There will always be members of any organization who do things that not
everyone agrees with and may be a little manipulative. That's life. Doesn't
do a bit of good to fuss and complain. The best answer that I have always
found for dealing with something that I can't tolerate and can't change is
to politely turn on my heel and walk away as soon as a new avenue opened
up-- and it did.

The problem for a lot of people is that they want both clubs. That simply
isn't possible without sacrificing some freedom of choice in the gene pool.
