As one of the CKCSC,USA members who was around during those years, it is troubling to be told by people who were not there how badly the Club handled the AKC issue and to see "the 12" practically being nominated for sainthood. The rift between the two clubs will never be repaired if this continues. At the time, it seemed that the only way to handle the situation was for the CKCSC, USA to become the parent club for the AKC. Time has proven that this wasn't the case, after all. The founding group of the ACKCSC have done a marvelous job. The two groups fill different needs within the Cavalier community and cooperation between them would benefit the breed tremendously. As for "the 12", their dogs should certainly be registered with the CKCSC, USA and they should be allowed to participate in Club functions if any of them still want to do so.
