Great idea, but don't think it would work as a replacement for a Nationl as the Club's National weekend is 3 days (2 shows and a Puppy Sweepstakes on the 3rd), and the ACKCSC is a friday preceeding Bucks. I can't speak for them, but would think that they would not want to disturb the status quo that works, same for the Club. But as the time of Fall seems to be the people's choice, that would just be an independent specialty for both, in addition to their Spring events. Easier to work around I would think. Come on Club members, some input! And at the last 3-sho weekend in CA for the year, in mid-December, the AKC cavalier Club holds an evening match after BIS is judged. Very nice.
