Kim: I have had camplobacter myself. I was given medication for it and it helped within two days. Had to take the medication for two weeks; but boy, was I sick with the bacteria. The diarrhea was so bad, I laid in half holding my stomach. It was from food at a restaurant that wasn't very clean, I am afraid. We haven't eaten back there in about five years. My husband did not catch it from me because I washed everything (including my hands) thoroughly everytime I moved. It is extremely "catchy".
