I feed sardines also but I was told to use the kind in tomato sauce and that
the water that yours are packed in, I think that is the reason, has salt
added.  I know that the oil they use is not a good oil either.  I buy mine at
a food wholesale supermarket and pay 39 cents for a can of 4 or 5 ounces.
