I get Buena Comida sardines in tomato sauce in 1 lb. flat cans at Ralphs. I smash the tomato sauce with the sardines and feed to the dogs (Cavalier & Boxer) once a week. With a Ralph's card the price is usually around $1.00. Sometimes $1.25. But since I pay about $1.89/lb. for chicken or beef chucks from a butcher that only has antibiotic/hormone free meats, that's a bargin.
