If the breeder has a AKC registered kennel name, they can add that to the
name and exceed the 27 letters. Or , at least, they used to allow that. I
noticed that the most recent transfer form change listed the registered
kennel name as having to be a part of the registered name. You can always
email AKC and ask them about this. They are very good at answering
inquiries. Usually get back to you in about 3 days.
