Hi, Susan,
Speculation (I don't usually do this, but HEY its early A.M.); perhaps
some of those long names are of "foreign" origin; although the AKC
doesn't usually allow "of Llawen" or "at Llawen" in other breeds, that
naming convention was made an exception as I understand it, for
Cavaliers. So, perhaps the longer names are imports? Or "Imports"? <G>
