Hi Roseanne, I love my Stained/Scored concrete. It has been very durable, kids, dogs, people, wet feet, etc. I simply damp mop it or when I have them I use my swifter with its flooring pads.
There is a BIG difference in the durability of painted concrete and stained concrete. The stain is an acid type chemical that when applied reacts with the concrete and "stains" it so it holds the color. Unlike paint or paint stain that is painted on and can fade or chip off. Many of the new homes here have wall to wall stained concrete.
