To Jackie and Gerri: I intend to only supplement my home prepared diet with the frozen Billinghurst diet. I believe we paid about $15.00 for 12 patties (5" diameter, 1/2 lb).
We don't insist that our puppy buyers feed only a home prepared diet. We provide sample menues, reference book lists and whatever info I think they would use (hopefully without overwhelming them) in the "hopes" that they continue feeding a home prepared diet. The last thing I would want to do was come across too insistant as this just causes a person to be selective in what they will/will not tell you. If they are not able to feed as we do, or don't hold the same view to nutrition we do, then we work out a common ground. If I could come up with a "scientific study" that had been conducted to "prove" that feeding a home prepared diet was far better for the dogs, then I think I would be more insistant.
