Try a bag from the cereal box with just a tinny bit of cat treat inside. Don't leave the end open just fold it over. Takes longer to get the cat treat. We also have a fishing pole, yes you heard right a fishing pole. The line is ten pound test and at the end I used a leather needle to run it through a tennis ball. I can cast and reel faster than I can run. In ten minuets they are panting and loving it. I have also tied a soft toy to the end as well. Lamb skin works really well. If they catch it though you will have fur flying and have to repair the toy or ball. We cast off the deck and make the kids run up on the deck then down to get what ever we cast out there. WE used to have a hamster in a ball that we would duck tape the opening shut so they couldn't get the little guy out. The hamster seemed to like it as well. Great winter fun in the house but watch the stairs. The stairs are hard on the hamster.:)
