<Buttons off shirts, mini blinds, furniture AND TODAY (to my absolute
HORROR) my brand new $350 prescription glasses which he scaled a nightstand
to get to & completely destroy...the lenses weren't even salvageable <sigh>>

Amanda,

Your 10 mo. old sounds just like my one year old Japanese Chin, Nick! He
figured out how to open my closet doors (louver doors), pull out my shirts
and eat the buttons. I put on a shirt one morning, and there were no
buttons! I had to have a latch put on the doors to keep him from opening
them. He drags books off the lower bookshelves and chews them, too. I have
wood blinds on my atrium doors, and he chews them.

He has also chewed my reading glasses, but they were $20 instead of $350
like yours, fortunately. He does stop when I tell him to, but he gets into
something else as soon as he can. He is also the only dog I've ever had who
really likes Nylabones. He chews on them for hours.

I have wondered if he will do this for years, or if it will stop at some
point. With all his chewing, he has never tried to chew my furniture, thank
goodness. He is just a funny little boy.
