Since CKCSC USA recognize others countries registries, why can't they
recognize
the one in the USA also. and treat the registration of an akc dog just as
they would the registration of a dog from another country
I have no idea when the current code of ethics was written or if it was every
revised
I would suppose that when the code of ethics was written their were no akc
cavaliers in the USA and that it was written to exclude the "kitchen table"
registries
but of course have no idea what the original writers of the code had in mind
when it was written
Cavaliers wither they are dual or single registered with either club all have
a common blood line and you don't have to go back very far in the pedigrees
to find it.
I just think it is a shame that with the proper paper work you can bred to a
dog from a foreign country but not to one here
As far as for testing I think the heart protocol should be followed. It is
not perfect but it is the best tool we have now, but CKCSC USA doesn't
require it for imports
or for dogs being breed now that are CKCSC USA registered. I see the health
test as a separate issue but desirable
