I think the answer isn't based on a breed but each individual dog. Our
oldest Cavalier in agility probably has the most problems with the
teeter. He hates it when it moves. Surprisingly, he is great on the
weaves. Since the first time he weaved through them, he does it perfect
almost all the time. Very different from the other dogs (including the
Shelties) in our class. And he loves to weave, he is SO excited to weave
compared to any other obstacle. Our second boy hasn't started yet, but
my husband is already worried he will be the one to either jump the
contact zones or miss some weaves because he is too excited to get to
the next obstacle. We've been stewards at several agility shows now, and
are convinced that the real key to success isn't how good your dog is at
agility, it's how good you are at handling. I think most of the time
when a dog messes up, you can see where the handler made an error.
