Hi Susan, Sheila, who asked the question about dosage, has a Cavalier with a murmur who she is thinking of starting on CoQ10. It is my understanding that 30 mg is the usual dose for Cavaliers with murmurs, although, this dosage may vary depending on the vet or practitioner you ask. I personally only give the CoQ10 to my 9 year old girl with a grade 3 murmur, so I didn't think of people who might be giving it as a prophylactic measure. I do not feed CoQ10 for supplemental reasons, if I did, 10 mg sounds like an adequate amount. Unless my Cardiologist advises me to do otherwise, I plan to continue using 30 mg once a murmur is detected and for any oldies I am lucky enough to have regardless of their murmur status.
