In response to this.
My dogs were two that missed their ring time. The girl who was handling them
was just finishing in another ring. When she sent someone to check on what
breeds were in the ring she was informed that cavaliers had just left the
ring. She actually thought she had at least a half hour based on 1 1/2 -2
min per dog. Unfortunately some exhibitors were not aware of the speeded up
process and assumed that the judging would take a normal pace. Imagine the
attention given to judging at probably less than a minute per dog. This
speedy judge also broke the major in males by doing this, at least in
cavaliers. That's not fair to any exhibitor.
Interestingly, that very morning I had read complaints on another list
about this judge for the very same thing.
By the way, the person handling was not a newbie and has been showing for
15 years. This was a first for her.
