Hi List, Does anyone know much about the pacing gait in Cavaliers? I have a 10 yr old who paces almost exclusively. I wonder if it is a neurological defect, or some fault with the way he is put together. When he was younger, he would pace when he got tired, but now it is almost all the time. He can go very fast in a pace. (For those who aren't acquainted with it, the pace is a gait where both legs on one side of the body move forward and backward at the same time; instead of coming together on one stride, and stretching in opposite directions on the next. It's a rolling gait, not smooth and flowing.) Also, this may be a different, but occasionally, when he is standing still, his back legs shake. Parkinsons's for dogs? What do you think? I would be interested to hear your points of view.
