Hi, Sharon,
        As it is obvious that some day you will have more than one....<G>, you
might like our set up.  We do use varikennels upstairs and down for
initial crate training if needed.  (Some of our pups are pretty good
learning while still very young if we take them out enough). I get the
HUGE open coated wire crates and put in a very comfortable (and
indestructable cot made by Kuranda), hang a flat sided stainless steel
bucket inside and leave it open when I'm home.  We have several set up
like this and it is always interesting to find who is sprawled over whom
when we look around.  They love their "homes".  If they need privacy,
they sometimes crawl UNDER the cots.
