Speaking from experience it is so hard to let them go when we have invested almost our whole lives to getting them ready for this moment. I wasn't sure if I was afraid she would fall apart without me or get in over her head or whether I was sad that I felt she no longer needed me. Well, I was wrong she did just fine and still needs help but now with kids of her own. She left home and I got a cavalier and my husband is grateful for our cavaliers. All is at peace again in our household now that I have settled into being a grandma and have my fourth cavalier. One cannot have to many of those furry body hugs. They hug so well that I am sure nature intended this to be their duty for life and mine to recieve them:)
