I can relate!  I sent my only child (daughter) to college fall of 2000.  You did better
than me, I started crying walking out of the dorm, and the tears kept going for the 2 
hr.
drive home.  She was supposed to come home alot too  ---didn't happen!  But I've made 
a few
trips to UVA myself . . .  It's quite a lifestyle change, I still miss her!
