Yes. Otherwise it would be a ruby. Red is recessive to black in Cavaliers. Similarly, if a blenheim has a tri and a blenheim parent, >does it then *carry* black & red too? No, only the red. If it had the black it would be expressed as the black is dominant over red in Cavaliers.
