I grabbed the latest CVS (20030925) snapshot this morning, and have built
and installed packages based on that. While it's a little early to say
for sure, and my init scripts still need some fine tuning, the upgrade has
definitely improved things. It's been running for slightly longer than the
older version now, and hasn't exhibited any problems yet.
FWIW, quickly grepping through the logs:-
# cat syslog.0 syslog | grep "clamav-milter.*FOUND" | awk '{print $7}' |
sort | uniq -c 46 Exploit.IFrame.Gen
54 Worm.Gibe.F
3 Worm.Sobig.F
... all in less than 24 hours of continual operation. Hopefully it's
remain stable - at the moment it's doing a great job. Kudos to all
involved.
