Check that you have proper "sections" listed in /etc/apt/sources.list (I mean non-free, contrib). E.g.: deb http://ftp.pl.debian.org/debian/ woody main non-free contrib deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US woody/non-US main contrib non-free deb http://security.debian.org/ woody/updates main contrib non-free # For backports of ClamAV etc.: deb http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/BACKPORTS woody main (Note that not all of them may be needed by you).
